Thurs 27th Jan 2011- Bromsgrove Folk Club Showcase - FolkLaw will be playing a full mic'd set along side some other fantastic up-n-coming acts at the 2011 Bromsgrove folk club showcase. Thu 17th Mar 2011- Blue Boar, Chipping Norton. Some extra irish stuff mixed into the FolkLaw set for this St Patricks Night special in Chippy. I remember the blue boar well from my days with the Bleeding Hearts, and it's going to be great to go back! The Boar has some fine ales and quite an atmosphere so it should be a good start for the St Pats mini tour. Fri 18th Mar 2011- Ashley Hotel, Rowley Regis, Birmingham (in association with BroadWater Entertainments). Continuing the St Pats theme FolkLaw will be weaving more traditional irish numbers through the set for the second night of the 2011 St Patricks tour which takes in the delights of Birmingham! 393 Long Lane, Rowley Regis, B65 0JE.
 
Sat 19th Mar 2011- Holly Fest 2011 - Oxford - Last night in the St Patricks mini tour FolkLaw are taking part in a 4 band extravaganza at the Holly Bush in Oxford. Acts starting around 7:30pm and running through till midnight(ish), with entertainment from FolkLaw, the Scott Gordon Band, impressive slide guitar from Hip Route and the very best in Country Folk from the Maramdukes. Sun 24th Apr 2011- The Priory Inn - Tetbury - Join us to celebrate Easter Sunday with FolkLaw for a fantastic evening conert in the Priory restaurant, Tetbury. Long described as one of the finest eating establishments in the South West the priory are proud of a 30 mile food rule for local ingredients, which fits the FolkLaw ethos brilliantly. Fri 13th May 2011- The Spring Gardens, Bristol - Acoustic showcase featuring FolkLaw and other up-n-coming Bristol acts action packed night of new original material. The Spring Gardens venue is a Not-For-Profit organisation supported by the local community and provide their stage and PA for free to support local artists - top notch. Sun 5th June 2011- Whychwood Festival, Cheltenham race course - FolkLaw will be up early for the Sunday morning on the Seaside stage sometime between 10am and 12am with Gloucester GuildHall sound lab. We'll also be lending out our instruments as part of the workshop - so you can come and have a go on the FolkLaw fiddle!!! Also catch us busking in the tea-tents throughout the day. Top notch!

Sat 25th June 2011- Lymm Folk Festival - FolkLaw solo i.e. Nick! is pleased to be performing alongside a host of superb acts in the reknowned Saturday afternoon concert at Lymm Folk Festival. Sat 2nd July 2011 (4pm)- Music at the Crossroads Festival 2011 - One of the FolkLaw highlights this year is the M@C festival in Hook Norton. See www.hookymusic.co.uk. Fantastic music! Tons of bands on two stages, a heavy rock stage and an acoustic stage, plus Magicians, Bouncy castle & inflatables, Festival Stalls, Camping, Family picnic area and the fabulous Hook Norton Brewery providing the ales. Ferris Hill Farm, Hook Norton, Oxfordshire, OX15 5DF . Tickets £20 on the day + concessionary rates and some really good advance ticket discounts - see online for details. Sun 17th July 2011- Forest Folk Club - With the talented close-harmony trio Loxley. This promises to be one of the highlights of the FolkLaw calander for 2011! If you want to hear the FolkLaw songs word-for-word without the noise and buzz of the pub-atmosphere then come along to this one. You'll get an insight into the stories behind the songs and we're planning on a debut performance of one of our latest numbers - specifically written for the Forest of Dean. Nice! Fri 19th Aug 2011- The Strand, Cheltenham - (in association with BWM Promo) - The second of our post-Whychwood-Festival Cheltenham gigs sees us getting our dancing shoes back on at one of our favorite Cheltenham venues. Yes, this was the place where a beer-fueled cossack dancer aimed a thumping kick to Bryns mando, half way through the blue grass number, and somehow managed to improve the sound. Nice one! Sat 27th Aug 2011- Tall Ships Festival, Gloucester Docks - Music is going on all weekend and we're on the main marquee stage at 8pm on the Saturday. This will be a special 'FolkLaw and Friends' gig - featuring the fantastic Martin Vogwell on guitar and mandola who'll be performing his reknowned song 'Fighting for ol Charlie' - it should be right up the street of this historic flavoured festival! Mon 29th Aug 2011- Bank Holiday Charity Beer Festival, The Royal, Charlton Kings, Cheltenham. We're opening the afternoons festivities 1pm and music will be going on all afternoon in the fantastic beer garden! Also on the bill is Russ Poole - the talented singer song-writer and host of the Guild Hall music lab, who gigged with us in the CD tent and Pimms Bus at Whychwood this year. Amazing hospitality and top food, it's going to be a pleasure for us to be going back and do a full gig here as the FolkLaw duo.
 
Sat 17th Sept 2011- Quarry Festival 2011 - fantastic family friendly festival sponsored by Stroud FM, with all proceeds going to the Meningitis Trust. In the quarry just off the B4014 Avening to Tetbury Road - and if you ain't sure where it is, then just follow yer nose, cos you can bring your own BBQ food at this one!! Sat 15th Oct 2011- The Prince Albert - Stroud - We're doing a short 20 minute set half way through the evening as a warm up to our full on December gig at the Albert! Two other fantastic acts are on the bill for tonight, which is a bit of a change to our last news letter - it's the barmans last night in the UK before he goes travelling the globe, so should be a fantastic party atmosphere! Nov 2011Recording in the studio! If all goes to plan then with some luck we'll be recording some of the latest folklaw tracks in one of Gloucesters premiere studios during November. We're very excited! Songs we're hoping to lay down include, Leaves of Gold, Rains Came Down, Conquer Trees, Gypsy Rain, Dublin City, Bethlehem and Someway Somehow, along with some brand new numbers.
 
Fri 2nd Dec 2011- The Wharf Inn, Fenny Compton - A cracking live music gastro pub on the canal. There's overnight camping available, but bring yer thermals cos it's December! Our satnav struggled a bit when we came here so get directions first - you'll find the Wharf on the A423 between Banbury and Southam on the crossroads for Wormleighton and Fenny Compton.
